Empowering Students with Conceptual Clarity: Your Questions Answered
We focus on conceptual understanding rather than formula memorization. Instead of just teaching what to do, we explain why it works. This deeper understanding helps students approach unfamiliar problems with confidence, not just repeat practiced questions.
Math AA (Analysis & Approaches) focuses on pure mathematics, algebra, and calculus—ideal for students pursuing engineering, physics, or pure mathematics. Math AI (Applications & Interpretation) emphasizes statistics, modelling, and real-world applications—better suited for business, social sciences, or biology. We help students choose based on their university goals and natural strengths during our consultation.
Absolutely. We've worked with students at all levels, including those who've fallen significantly behind. We start by identifying knowledge gaps, then build a personalized roadmap to catch up. Many of our most successful students started with a grade 3 or 4 and finished with a 6 or 7. The key is starting early enough and committing to the process.
It depends on their current level and goals. Most students benefit from 1-2 sessions per week during regular term time. Before exams, some increase to 2-3 sessions weekly. We'll recommend a frequency during your consultation based on your child's specific situation and timeline.
Yes! Moving from a 5-6 to a 7 requires a different approach than catching up. We focus on advanced problem-solving techniques, tackling the most challenging exam questions, and developing the mathematical maturity that examiners look for at the highest level. We have specific strategies for helping strong students reach excellence.
The best time to start is now. For MYP students, building strong foundations early makes DP mathematics much easier. For DP1 students, starting early gives time to master concepts thoroughly. Even DP2 students in exam year can see significant improvement with focused work. That said, starting in DP1 (or even MYP Year 5) gives the best results.
Our prices vary based on the program level (MYP vs DP), session frequency, and whether you choose individual or small group sessions. We offer both pay-as-you-go and discounted package options. Please contact us for detailed pricing—we’ll create a custom plan that fits your needs and budget during your free consultation.
Parents and students are free to discontinue at any time if they feel the program isn't meeting their expectations. We encourage open communication, and any concerns can be discussed with the tutor so we can reassess goals or approach. If, after a parent-tutor discussion, you feel the program isn't the right fit, there is no obligation to continue.
